7 day Release, Restore & Renew Retreat

7-Day Yoga & Wellness Immersion

Restore • Reconnect • Renew

Imagine an entire week with permission to slow down.

A week away from chaos of everyday life, meetings, messages, deadlines, and the constant responsibility of caring for others.

The 7-Day Yoga & Wellness Immersion in St. Croix is a small-group retreat created specifically for those who want to step away from the intensity of life and spend a week reconnecting with their own health, well-being, and sense of balance.

Set against the natural beauty and relaxed rhythm of Grapetree Bay Hotel (https://grapetreebayhotel.com/) in St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands, this immersive experience combines Slow Flow and Restorative Yoga, mindfulness, meditation, forest bathing and time in nature, whole-food plant-based nutrition, meaningful connection, and plenty of unstructured time to simply enjoy the island.

This is not a week of rushing from one scheduled activity to another. It is intentionally spacious.

Begin the Day With Movement & Breath

Mornings begin slowly.

Our Slow Flow Yoga practices combine breath with gentle, intentional movement designed to encourage mobility, flexibility, balance, strength, and body awareness.

Rather than focusing on performance or achieving the perfect pose, we use yoga as an opportunity to become more aware of how we feel—physically and mentally.

Practices are designed to accommodate a range of abilities and yoga experience. Advanced yoga experience is not necessary.

Restorative Yoga & Deep Rest

Throughout the week, Restorative Yoga provides a counterbalance to our more active practices.

Supported poses, slower breathing, quiet surroundings, and longer periods of stillness invite participants to experience what it feels like to stop doing and simply rest.

Evening practices may include restorative yoga, gentle stretching, breathwork, guided relaxation, meditation, or an extended Savasana.

Mindfulness & Meditation

From the time we are children, we are taught to observe, analyze, anticipate and respond.

During this week, we practice something different:

Simply noticing.

Guided mindfulness, meditation, breathing exercises, mindful walking, journaling, and periods of intentional silence provide opportunities to cultivate present-moment awareness.

These practices are designed not only for the retreat but also as practical tools that can be incorporated into life after returning home.

Nature & Forest Bathing

St. Croix provides a remarkable environment for reconnecting with the natural world.

Inspired by the Japanese practice of Shinrin-yoku, forest bathing invites us to experience nature slowly and through our senses.

Rather than hiking toward a destination, we may walk quietly, notice the movement of leaves, listen to birds and water, feel the warmth of the Caribbean air, or simply sit beneath a tree and observe.

Other opportunities to connect with nature may include quiet walks, time near the sea, sunrise or sunset reflection, and simply allowing ourselves to experience the landscape without needing to accomplish anything.

Whole-Food, Plant-Based Nutrition

Food is an important part of the immersion.

Meals will emphasize a whole-food, plant-based approach, incorporating vegetables, fruits, whole grains, legumes, nuts, seeds, herbs, spices, and minimally processed plant foods.

Whenever possible, the experience can incorporate the flavors, produce, and culinary traditions of the Caribbean.

Meals become more than nutrition.

They are opportunities to slow down, practice mindful eating, enjoy conversation, and experience the pleasure of sharing nourishing food around a table.

Explore St. Croix

A week-long immersion should also feel like a retreat and a vacation.

Time will be intentionally available to explore the local community and culture of St. Croix.

Depending upon the group's interests and available local activities, participants may choose to explore the island's historic towns, local markets, beaches, cultural and historic sites, botanical surroundings, local shops and galleries, or simply spend an afternoon beside the Caribbean Sea.

Some excursions may be offered as optional group experiences, while other periods will remain completely unscheduled.

Participation is always a choice.

You may decide to explore the island—or decide that what you need most that afternoon is a book, a hammock, and nowhere you need to be.

Connection With Others

There is distinct value and a sense of comfort in connecting with others who understand and have experienced the weight of life.

Throughout the week, there will be opportunities for meaningful conversation and shared experiences.

There is also permission for solitude.

You can participate in the group when connection feels nourishing and step away when quiet is what you need.

Learning Without the Conference Rush

Educational discussion sessions are integrated thoughtfully into the week.

Topics may explore well-being, mindfulness, movement, nutrition, stress management, healthy aging, and practical strategies for incorporating restorative practices into everyday life.

The intention is to combine learning with lived experience.

Rather than simply discussing mindfulness, we practice it.

Rather than simply discussing movement, we move.

Rather than simply discussing nutrition, we enjoy nourishing food.

Rather than simply discussing the importance of rest, we make time for it.

Space Is Part of the Program

Perhaps the most important element of this week is what is not scheduled.

There will be time to:

Walk along the water.
Read a book.
Journal.
Explore St. Croix.
Talk with another over coffee or tea.
Watch the sunrise or sunset.
Sit beneath a tree.
Take a nap.
Photograph the island.
Or simply do nothing at all.

Rest does not have to be earned.

Bringing the Experience Home

As the week comes to a close, participants will have an opportunity to reflect on what they want to carry home with them.

The goal is not to completely redesign your life in seven days.

Instead, each participant can identify a few realistic practices that support their well-being—perhaps ten minutes of morning yoga, a breathing practice, more whole plant foods, regular time outdoors, an evening restorative practice, or simply protecting small periods of unscheduled time.

The retreat ends, but the practices do not have to.

Seven Days With a Different Rhythm

For one week, life moves differently.

Wake slowly.
Move intentionally.
Breathe deeply.
Learn something meaningful.
Eat nourishing food.
Spend time in nature.
Explore somewhere new.
Connect with others.
Rest without guilt.
And remember what it feels like to have time.

The 7-Day Yoga & Wellness Immersion in St. Croix is not about escaping your life.  It is about creating enough space to reconnect with yourself before returning to it.

A week to restore the body.
Quiet the mind.
Nourish yourself.
Experience the beauty of St. Croix.
Reconnect with what matters.
And return home renewed.
